Re: Intel DCI/DAL/CFL-S halt issue

If I were in you position, I would try the following...
1. Search Intel sighting report for similar issues.
2. Reach Intel FAE or submit IPS ticket for Intel support.

Re: Can Intel DAL python commands access the UEFI interfaces on the UUT?

I don’t think above practice is applicable since DXE core is skipped and you might not be able to rewind the stack after the invoke. I remember ITP used to have a script macro named loadimage(), which could copy the image to proper memory region and search memory for DXE RT service LoadImage() then ...

Re: UEFI boot is faster than legacy boot

I would vote False. Lets go deep down to the bottom. If they are implementing the same logic, all of the UEFI C code will be eventually translated to assembly code. Legacy code would normally take the assembly form written by human. So I would vote human instead of compiler since human could keep op...

Then check the validity of the protocol pointer, and use serial output or XDP/DCI to do live debugging to figure out the exact location of the reset.
We should not debug through the community forum, right? ;)

Re: How to read HDD S.M.A.R.T data?

After HandleProtocol, you should check the return value to make sure the protocol instance is retrieved correctly.
Or else, invalid protocol pointer will lead to exception or reset.

Re: UEFI specification limited to 105 keys?

HII spec states the flexibility: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/doc/reference-guide/efi-human-interface-infrastructure-specification-v092.pdf Keyboard Mapping The keyboard mapping that is defined in EFI is loosely based on ISO 9995. The naming mechanism is based on the figure below. The keys that...

Re: can bios be implemented by AI?

OK, interesting point. Yes, it could signify a level of dissatisfaction that could be sufficient to drive a big company into the arms of AMD. Though personally, I guess I'm a bit cynical, and I basically expect Intel and AMD to think, "Why should we even care about fixing our stuff if Google will ju...
